Paul Cragg - A Champion for our villages
Local Lib Dems have chosen Broadacres resident and Parish Councillor Paul Cragg to stand in the Worplesdon by-election on 3rd May. Worplesdon is facing a fresh poll for the County Council following the resignation of Conservative Nigel Sutcliffe.
As vice-chair or the Worplesdon Parish Council, Paul has a record of action all year around for local residents in our villages. He is also on the committee of the Wood Street Village Association, and a founding member of the Westborough, Broadacres and District Residents' Association.
Paul said, "We must have a change in how things are done. Our villages need a strong representative. Recently we have seen to many decisions taken behind close doors and when there has been a big vote the local Conservative councillor didn't bother to turn up."
Paul is a retired ecology lecturer and is passionate about the environment. He has taken an active role protecting the local green belt from encroachment.
Paul lives in Oakfields with his wife Magdalena. A local resident for 35 years, he is the ideal person to represent our community.
