Lib Dems launch petition for better roads

11 Jun 2007

Surrey Liberal Democrats have launched an online petition to improve the state of the County's roads.

The Conservative County Council has left our roads covered in potholes right across Surrey - despite wasting millions on a failed HQ move and outside consultants.

Cllr Alan Muhammed said, "So many local people are angry about the state of the roads. It was being regularly brought up on Guildford's doorsteps during the recent elections and my colleagues elsewhere have told me it is the same all over Surrey."

Cllr Jill Chan added, "Please sign this petition and ask your friends and relatives to do the same. The state of our roads in unacceptable and perhaps this will force the County Council to act."
