Guildford Spectrum secures funding from Swimming Pools Support Fund

Lead Councillor for Commercial Services, Cllr Catherine Houston, said: 

"This news is really positive for everyone that uses the Spectrum, for Guildford Borough Council and especially for the planet. I am delighted that the council was successful in its bid for funding from the Swimming Pool Support Fund to buy pool covers for the three pools at Spectrum. These covers will reduce reliance on the Spectrum’s boilers and therefore reduce its carbon footprint.

“The money will also be used for the installation of aerators for the showers which will reduce water use by pumping air into the system. The Liberal Democrat council administration is proud to be helping make Guildford borough a greener borough."

Guildford Spectrum opening times:

Guildford Spectrum is open Monday to Friday 6.30am to 10pm and Saturdays and Sundays 6.30am to 10.30pm. The leisure centre has a variety of activities and sports available to the public.
