About Zöe Franklin

Zöe is local, she grew up in Farnham and studied in Guildford at the University of Surrey. She lives in the north of Guildford with her husband Chris and has two children who attend local schools.

Zöe has a strong record of fighting for local communities across Guildford, Cranleigh and the surrounding villages.

She was a borough councillor for the Stoke area of north Guildford from 2008 to 2015. She has also been a school governor and charity trustee. Zöe has
always worked hard to support Guildford and its residents.

Zöe is pushing for a fairer, stronger and greener Guildford where everyone is looked after and has equal opportunity.

Alongside other Lib Dem MPs she can work to stop Brexit and build a brighter future. Zöe is a fitting choice to be Guildford, Cranleigh and our Village's next MP.

ZÖE FRANKLIN'S PLAN FOR GUILDFORD & CRANLEIGH:

1. Protect our Environment Environment Solar Panels

Zöe Franklin wants to fight climate change, make Guildford single use plastic free and protect our countryside.

The Lib Dems will tackle the climate emergency by generating 80% of all electricity from renewables by 2030 and investing £15 billion to retrofit 26million homes,which would save the average household £550 a year on energy bills.

2. INVEST IN THE NHS AND SCHOOLS

Zöe Franklin wants to invest in public services - protecting the Royal Surrey Hospital and local GP surgeries, and ensuring that local schools are properly funded.

The Lib Dems will put a penny on Income Tax to invest £35 billion in the NHS and ensure mental health is treated with the same urgency as physical health.

We will recuit 20,000 more teachers as part of our plan to spend an extra £10 billion a year on schools.

3. STOP BREXIT

Zöe Franklin wants to stop Brexit to help protect jobs, businesses and public services across Guildford and Cranleigh.

Once we have stopped Brexit, we will use the £50 billion Remain Bonus to invest in public services and tackle inequality.If there is a Lib Dem Government, we will revoke Article 50. Otherwise, we will push for a People's Vote.
