About Zöe Franklin Zoe Franklin standing on Guildford High Street

Zöe Franklin is standing to become the Lib Dem MP for Guildford, Cranleigh and our Villages.

Zöe is local, grew up in Farnham and studied in Guildford at the University of Surrey. She lives in the north of Guildford with her husband Chris and has two children who attend local schools.

Zöe has a strong record of fighting for local communities across Guildford, Cranleigh and the surrounding villages.

She was a borough councillor for the Stoke area of north Guildford from 2008 to 2015 and stood in both the 2017 and 2019 General Elections. In 2019 she increased the Lib Dem vote share by 13.5 percentage points and slashed the Conservative majority to just 3,337. She has also been a school governor and charity trustee.

Zöe has always worked hard to support the residents of Guildford, Cranleigh and our Villages.

Zöe has spent over 10 years fighting for a fairer, stronger and greener future for all our local communities. One where everyone has the NHS, social care and mental health support they need; where no one faces discrimination because of their race, gender, sexuality, religion or social background; and where everyone has access to the education and opportunities they need to fulfil their potential.

Zöe knows that only by working together can we achieve these goals and she is committed to working with local people, councillors, businesses and other organisations to make it happen.

Zöe is a fitting choice to be Guildford, Cranleigh and our Village's next MP.
