Tom Hunt grew up in South-East London and studied in Durham and Birmingham, before moving to Surrey in 1993 and Guildford in 2001. Since 2007, he has lived in the Friary and St Nicolas ward.
Tom is married with a daughter who attends a local school. He works as a Commercial Director for a defense technology company. He enjoys spending time with his family, cycling and watching rugby.
His priorities are to ensure that the Council develops a town centre has a masterplan, creating a vision for sensible and sustainable development; reducing traffic congestion, which will have a significant effect on air quality; and to support the creation of 3,000 new affordable houses, to address the increasing problem of homelessness in the Borough.
