The average waiting time for police to respond to burglary calls in Surrey more than doubled during the first two years of the current Conservative Police and Crime Commissioner, new figures from the Liberal Democrats have revealed.
At today’s full council meeting Leader of Surrey Lib Dems, Will Forster used his speech seconding an opposition motion, to call for a complete overhaul of how local government is funded.
Cllr Paul Kennedy, the Liberal Democrat challenger to the Conservative incumbent in May’s police and crime commissioner elections, has welcomed news that Surrey Police has dramatically improved its performance in responding to 999 and 101 calls.
